Brandon Peters Wolf Pack Interview by Morten Krogh

Exclusive Facebook Interview with Brandon Peters, by Morten Krogh

On Tuesday evening I had the privilege to do a facebook interview with the upcoming actor, rapper, singer and songwriter Brandon Peters. He is 21 year old, from the Statimx nation/half cree and the newest member in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Morten: Hi Brandon. Congratulations with the news, being one of the newest members in the Wolfpack, together with Nic Gurniak.  The Twilight saga has opened doors for Native actors to a more up to date roles. What are your thoughts on this.

Brandon Peters: - I do agree that The Twilight Saga has opened a lot of doors for not only Native Americans but also the natives from Canada as well. I think its great that the last parts of the series give the wolfpacks a chance to shine.
I have a lot of respect for everybody involved in the making of the stories and movies because they have really brought the books to life.

Morten: Can you share any stories from the film set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Brandon Peters: - The moments I will never forget from being on set are the times when we were just hanging out in the tents with the other actors and actresses. We were all just really having fun and having some good laughs.

I remember when I first got there some of the actors asked me what my background was and I told them I’m half statimx native and half cree native, they just laughed and said that’s probably why I got the part because of my cree native background because most of them were part cree native as well.  They said we were the “handsome natives”, haha.

Taylor Lautner - Jacob Black's Leather Jacket to be Exhibited

This summer (June 16 through Sept. 3) the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee will tell the story of the black leather jacket through its special exhibit, Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket.
From pilots to bikers, rock stars to stunt men, rebellious youth to the fashion-forward, this iconic piece of clothing has long served as an expression of style and story.
The black leather jacket, the uniform of cool, sparks a feeling, projects an image, and has evolved and stood the test of time for nearly a century.

Throughout the run of this new summer exhibit, more than 100 artifacts will be featured, including dozens of jackets, many boasting intriguing back stories. The items included in the exhibit come from Harley-Davidson’s archives, collectors, and include jackets worn by celebrities and pop culture icons such as Elvis Presley, Harry Shearer (Derek Smalls) from Spinal Tap and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) of the Twilight series. In addition to the eclectic collection of jackets, the exhibit will also use motorcycles, photographs, film footage, printed literature, advertisements and music to explore how a single article of clothing became so ingrained in our popular culture.

Taylor Lautner and Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless Leg Syndrome could be put to rest

By Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen, Special to the Province
Restless Leg Syndrome is about to get a name change: Hello Willis-Ekbom disease. They're punking us, right? Well, actually, no. But we YOU Docs suspect you might have preferred it get renamed for Taylor Lautner. He battles the disease in real life, and his werewolf character, Jacob Black, is pretty restless too! But the International RLS Study Group has decided that:

Since legs are supposed to move, not stay at rest; AND sometimes legs, arms and torso are involved; AND "syndrome" describes a collection of symptoms, but RLS is a specific neurologic disease, RLS (in name only) will be leaving the building. Hopefully, the disease itself soon will get its walking papers.
