Taylor Lautner Next Project "Tracers"

In "Tracers"  Lautner will play a New York City bike messenger whose life is on the line as he owes a hefty debt to an organized crime syndicate. So, aside from plenty of jumping about, expect cyclist-centered chase scenes amid the hectic traffic of New York. But Cam's life is changed forever when he crashes into a "sexy stranger" who subsequently introduces him to the wonderful world of parkour. It's unclear at this point if Lautner will partake in parkour himself, but it seems likely his character will. Still, savvy stunt doubles aside, isn't this an action trend already past its prime?

Gil Birmingham's Crooked Arrow Behind The Scenes video

Syracuse University Assistant Director of Native Studies and former All-American lacrosse player Neal Powless, who co-produced the movie 'Crooked Arrows', offers a behind-the-scenes look at the film and his role in gaining the support of the Onondaga Nation for the project.
The film, Crooked Arrows, is about a coach who reluctantly leads a troubled Native American high school team on an uphill journey to the state lacrosse championship game against its prep school rivals, who are better trained and better equipped. The movie is the first mainstream film that focuses on the sport of lacrosse.
The world premiere of the film will be Wednesday in Syracuse; the movie hits select theaters May 18 and opens nationally June 1.

The $6 million film has financial backing from the Onondaga Nation, support from Syracuse University and features hundreds of people from Central New York.

But Crooked Arrows’ road to the Onondaga Nation and to becoming a real movie was a long and bumpy one.

Writer Todd Baird and producers Mitchell Peck and Adam Leff dreamed up the idea for the movie more than a decade ago, but Native American leaders from the Onondaga Nation and other nations didn’t like the script. They felt the script was riddled with cultural inaccuracies and stereotypes.

Lacrosse is a tradition of the Haudenosaunee nations, which include the Mohawk, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Seneca and Tuscarora nations. Lacrosse is known as the Creator’s game.

“Lacrosse is something that the Creator gave to us for our enjoyment and, in turn, we give thanks for our young men having that ability and strength,” said Onondaga Nation Tadodaho Sid Hill. “It keeps the young men in a good mind and good spirit.”

Gil Birmingham's Standing ovation!

SEATTLE—At the March 25 sneak preview of Crooked Arrows, former college and pro lacrosse player Neal Powless spoke reverently of lacrosse as more than just a sport. “Everyone has their own skill—strength, speed, agility, size,” he said. “Those are gifts from the Creator, and that’s what lacrosse is—a celebration of your gifts and bringing them together as a group and using those gifts for the betterment of the whole. That’s a Native value—coming together as a group, working together as a community, as you did today.”

Graham Greene to join New SyFy Channel Show!

Syfy's upcoming drama series Defiance has added an Academy Award nominee to its cast.

Graham Greene, who was a nominated for an Oscar for Dances With Wolves and played a supporting role in the Twilight film New Moon, has been tapped to join the futuristic series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

From Syfy and Trion Worlds, Defiance centers on a transformed Earth, inhabited by the survivors of a universal war. Forced to co-habitate, the group struggles to build a new society among the devastation.
Greene will play Rafe McCawley, a self-made success who owns and operates the largest mine in the territory. His status as the richest and most powerful human in Defiance comes with a price, however, as he struggles to navigate both familial and political alliances in the new world.

He joins previously announced cast members Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran and Jaime Murray in the show, which unites scripted TV with massive multiplayer online gaming (MMOG).
The pilot will be directed by Scott Stewart (Legion, Priest) and written/executive produced by Rockne O'Bannon (Farscape), Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives) and Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica). Murphy will serve as showrunner. Produced by Universal Cable Productions, filming begins in Toronto in April.
Greene, repped by Jordan & Associates, had a recurring role on Canadian TV series Being Erica. Recent big-screen credits include Man on the Train, Valley of the Sun, Casino Jack and the upcoming Chasing Shakespeare and The Stupidest Angel.

Directed by Steve Rash (American Pie Presents Band Camp), Crooked Arrows stars Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Gil Birmingham (Twilight).  The film was produced by J. Todd Harris (The Kids Are All Right), Mitchell Peck (Priest), and Adam Leff (The Last Action Hero).  In addition, the movie features top lacrosse players from around the country, including a team of Iroquois players as well as professionals such as Paul Rabil, Zack Greer and Brodie Merrill who make cameo appearances, along with other notable lacrosse coaches. The lacrosse action was orchestrated by Sports Studio (Miracle, Game Plan).

“Crooked Arrows breaks new ground in the sports movie genre,” enthuses producer Harris.  “It’s going to open up the world’s eyes to the great game of lacrosse.” “It’s also a real first for Native Americans,” adds producing partner Peck.  “This is the first modern day, family-friendly Native American movie.  We realized that in order to tell the true story of lacrosse, we had to tell an honest Native American story, as well.  Putting together this movie has been a beautiful journey, and we’re sure it will make a lot of people proud.”

Taylor Lautner April Fools gag might just be true!

April 1st Rumor--
Expectations are more Taylor Lautner, because now it is green and is called Leonardo. Yes, the actor will be one of the famous Ninja Turtles.

Director Michael Bay was confirmed in the paper and defended the choice.
"Everyone is very excited to have Taylor Lautner. He is an artist of martial disciplines and really fits the mold of the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the plan," reasoned Bay to Televisa.
Until now there has been great anticipation about the film as the original story will suffer some changes and mutant heroes, but foreigners(aliens), leading to a rejection of more conservative fans.
At least, remain fans of pizza?
Still no official image of Lautner in the role of Leonardo, the leader of the turtles.
